Dormant plans for proposed school building in limbo
School Board president Carl Cornelius says the proposed building project is in limbo due to board debate and the absence of a new superintendent to replace Russell J. Pederson. The Jan 26 meeting raised Title IX compliance questions about the architect draft while planning has bogged down and bond issues await resolution. The draft includes two classrooms a wrestling area three basketball courts a weight room girls and boys locker rooms a music area and storage connected to the north wing. Some residents want an Olympic pool funded by city or district.
