Escapees Recaptured After Night on the Run in Nebraska
Three escapees from Deuel County Jail Chappell were arraigned in Deuel County Court on kidnapping and escaping custody. Brent K Kegley Darrell E Ross and Carol J Stafford faced $25,000 bonds each after capture west of Sidney following a march through the Brownson Sidney Draw area. The group overpowered jailer Eric Strong and fled in his car, spending a cold wet night in the hills before being apprehended.
