The Backers of Gering sought ten thousand dollars from the City of Sidney for alleged property damage from the 13th Ave underpass. the motion for a new trial was overruled and no recovery awarded. A separate judgment of seven thousand two hundred forty seven dollars and thirty cents against U S Fidelity and Guaranty Co. was dismissed upon plaintiff’s motion.

Car Truck Collision Causes Major Damage North of Sidney

George Goodin of Casper was elected president of the Rocky Mountain District of the American Petroleum Institute. L. A. Lindstrom of Ohio Oil Co. was named vice-chairman for Nebraska. Brothers Engberg given two year prison terms each
Freddie and Roy Engberg were each sentenced to two years in the Nebraska State Penitentiary after pleading guilty to forgery. The men were caught after a stalled car in a snow bank south of Sidney led to their arrest during March storms. Judge I J Nisley ordered the terms as authorities had been alerted.
