Pension plan for pastors objective in campaign
A presbytery campaign opened to raise 87 700 toward a 15 million fund by the lay men's committee of the general assembly. Ministers urged the pension plan as solving old age distress, dating to 1717, to attract youth to the ministry and strengthen the church. Local ministers from Box Butte Presbytery and several towns spoke on Sunday about providing a fair pension at age sixty five.
