Girls track at Gordon meet tomorrow at Western Conference
Sidney High girls track will compete tomorrow in the Western Conference meet at Gordon. In recent invitationals at Sidney and Alliance they finished eighth and sixth. Theresa Sullivan was the sole scorer at Sidney with third in the 880 yards in 2 35.9, and she won the 880 at Alliance in 2 38.1 amid cold windy conditions. The 880 relay team of Carolyn Benisek, Shaun Kelley, Laura Modlin and Theresa Sullivan finished fifth at Alliance.

Sidney High Golf Team Competes In Regional Meets
The Sidney High Golf team played in the Scottsbluff Invitational at Riverview Golf Course with Mark Rogers posting 86 to lead Sidney in seventh. The squad then prepared to travel to Valentine for the Western Conference Tournament after a fourth-place finish at the Valentine Invitational where Alliance won and West Holt’s Mark Lee shot 83 as medalist. Earlier meets saw Sidney place sixth at Gering Invitational led by Chuck Haupt, and second at the Sidney Invitational where Scottsbluff’s Jeff Klein and Jeff Jolliffs led with 76 and 78.
