Seventy Lincoln Chamber boosters known as the Lincoln Sowers arrive in Sidney for a goodwill tour and will attend the Sidney Chamber of Commerce dinner meeting at the City Auditorium Tuesday night. The program includes a barbershop quartet from Lodgepole and a 35 minute Lincoln segment master of ceremonies Jack H Lowe. Reservations for guests cost 1.75 dollars. members receive free dinner. Tourist Loss Is Predicted By State Engineer Aitken

Light Damage In Two Car Collision on Highway 30
The Nebraska Highway Safety Patrol reported a Tuesday morning two car crash 6.2 miles east of Sidney with about $75 in damage. A 1947 Dodge driven by Dewey Pounds of Ogallala attempted a left turn into Colton road as a 1948 Chevrolet driven by Sgt. Raymond J. Reber of Washington Iowa began to pass. No injuries were reported.

Two Sidney junior girls were named to the 11th Cornhusker Girls State. Anne Henke is delegate and Cleo Kennedy is alternate. Charges Filed After Accident On Tuesday
Charges of reckless driving and improper meeting and passing were filed against Larry L. Pedrett 20 Sidney after a noon Tuesday wreck on Highway 19 three-tenths of a mile south of Sidney. Pedrett drove a 1946 Ford pickup owned by Thomas E. Seeley of Sidney. Lester R. Dick of Riverton Wyoming drove a 1951 Ford owned by Dick Truck Lines. Damages were about 150 dollars to the pickup, with no damage to the Dick car.

A ranch described as one of Banner county's finest was sold for 170000 on Monday by J D White real estate of Scottsbluff to Joe F Vogt of Sidney. J M Brownell handled the sale for the White agency. The Earl W Jensen ranch, about 10 miles south and west of Harrisburg, includes six sections of land about 300 cattle two modern homes and other ranch buildings and equipment.

Tree Planting Sponsored By Civic Groups In Sidney
Six hundred trees are being planted around Sidney in a beautification project by the Sidney Chamber of Commerce forestation committee and the Sidney Lions Club. Three hundred trees go on the hill north of Sidney under the Chamber, with another 300 planned for Highway 30 entrances under the Lions. Ivan Liljegren Aubrey Haines and George Kolzow led the planting on the hill, 47 trees planted so far with rest to be completed. Water was brought to the site using two cream cans from the Sidney Creamery until a water tap is secured.
