Master farmers make agricultural paradise of undeveloped land

In 1918-20 I bought over 6,000 acres in Goodland and Burlington areas for permanent investment and partial cultivation. Much land is rented to capable tenants, with strong German tenants and an agency in Goodland handling supervision. Notable operators include Albert Weaver of Bird City and J M Swenson Land Co of Burlington who achieve large wheat yields through summer fallow. Swenson, a Nebraska man, died after a prolific career. his Burlington holdings are carried on by Mrs Swenson.
