City of Sidney Nebraska invites bids until 7 30 p m May 1 1936 for rental of equipment materials and labor to mix and lay bituminous concrete. Total cost estimated at 6900 dollars for 2300 tons with maximum 7 percent bitumen. Minimum wage scales set 50 40 and 30 cents per hour for skilled intermediate and unskilled labor.
Bidders are told the proposed contract will be supervised by the Works Progress Administration. Contractors must start within 30 days of acceptance. Each bid requires a 10 percent certified check payable to the Sidney Nebraska Treasurer. Checks serve as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to contract.
