Frontier Apologizes For Way Sidney Matter Handled
Frontier Airlines president L. B. Maytag Jr. apologizes to Mayor Ferris Preble for how the Sidney matter was handled after a sudden service suspension. Air service resumed after a Civil Aeronautics Board order. The council invited Frontier reps to a April meeting to discuss an airport contract and landing fees. Maytag seeks a meeting with Mr. Griffiths to resolve terms and suggests Sidney should face no future problems. In other business, the council approves seven building permits totaling 30,000 including 13,500 for a new residence and 18,000 for a water softener distributor building.

Lodgepole School District 4 1 opens bids Thursday night for a 267000 expansion plan financed by a bond issue approved earlier. Ten bids were in by Tuesday noon and more may join before 8 p.m. The project adds a new high school building east of the existing structure, relieves overcrowding, and will absorb four high school grades. Scouts Dinner Draws Nearly 100 To Dalton Legion
Nearly 100 persons are expected for the annual Tinka Tonka Scout dinner at the Dalton Legion Hall this evening. Guest speaker is W. W. Wilson of Scottsbluff, scout executive of the Wye Braska District. Election of officers will be held. Waldo Dearing of Sidney retires as chairman of the Tink Tonka District, which covers Kimball, Cheyenne, Deuel, Garden, Morrill and part of Scotts Bluff Counties. Al Christy of Gering will speak, with Dr. W. H. Blackston as master of ceremonies. More than a dozen adults will receive awards, including nine Scouters Award recipients and two Den Mother awards for Mrs. Dale Abel and Mrs. Verda Nuss. John Bailey, Floyd Miller, and Lew Hulbert will receive Scouter Key and Scout Leader awards respectively. Troop 90 of Dalton opens, with the Dalton American Legion Auxiliary serving the dinner.

Potter Girl Dies After Farm Tractor Accident
Three year old Valerie Ann Kasten of Potter died in a Cheyenne hospital from injuries after being struck by a tractor driven by her father Sunday afternoon April 5. Funeral services are set for Friday at 2 pm at St Paul's Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Survivors include her parents three brothers and both grandparents.

KSID Sidney will join a nationwide Conelrad test on Friday at 9 30 a m MST. Stations will go off air then return on 640 or 1240 kc for a national Civil Defense program until 9 55 a m MST. Rape Charges Filed Against Wisconsin Man
