Frank A Hand 84 longtime Sidney resident and leading farmer, rancher, and dairy manager, was buried yesterday at Sidney Greenwood cemetery after funeral services at the Methodist Church. Rev Walter Jewett officiated. Surviving are his wife, eight children, eighteen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. a daughter died in 1918. Interment directed by Gehrig Funeral Home.

He and his 15 year old son built a telescope from scrap metal and a Maxwell rear end and shared that cloudy weeks test the telescope before stargazing. He noted Jupiter the Moon Saturn Mars and many stars await discovery and admitted reading books is faster but less fun. He works as a Travelers insurance agent.

Drunken driving cases heard in county court
Three defendants faced drunken driving charges in county court Monday morning. Blanche Waring pleaded guilty and fined twenty five dollars plus costs, losing her license for a year. Charlie Jackson also paid twenty five dollars and forfeited his license for one year. A third defendant, Rudolph Namath, was to appear later that day. Other traffic offenses included Lloyd Starr speeding and William Shafer step sign violation. All complaints were signed by State Patrolman Nichols.

Hearing Today For Truck Theft Suspect
William Bentley, 32, arrested at Scottsbluff on a drunken driving charge, faces a preliminary hearing in Cheyenne County court this morning on a truck theft complaint. The truck belongs to Clarence Yatts, a straw baling operator. Bentley and Robert Mayer were arrested last Tuesday. Bentley paid 65 dollars and costs at Scottsbluff before being turned over to Sheriff Schulz. Both men had their licenses suspended for one year.

The 5000 acre Camp Clarke Ranch near Bridgeport in western Nebraska has been sold to the Holmes Bros of Garden City Kansas for £50,000 by Doctor George Phelps of Cheyenne. It was among the first along the North Platte river with a historic bridge built in 1876 by Henry T. Clark.
