Sidney Police logged three separate crashes on Illinois Street this week none caused heavy damage. A 1964 parked car owned by Josephine Billig was struck by a westbound 1963 truck driven by Marvin De laun causing about 60 dollars in damage. A 1961 Chevrolet driven by Karen Loebe struck a parked Rambler owned by Joseph Freking in front of 1330 Illinois. A 1964 Rambler driven by Howard Emerson was rear ended by a 1964 Chevrolet driven by Thomas Davis at 13th and Illinois.

A H McDonald Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister will attend Panhandle Farm Equipment and Progress Day on April 21 at the Egging Company site near Gurley Nebraska. U S congressman Lt Governor and twelve state senators will fly in for the event expected to draw 5000 to 8000 attendees from four states. The program features 31 manufacturers displays on farming methods including fertilizer and herbicide use, till planting, irrigation, a tractor parade and upset demo. A Soil Conservation model and weed displays will be shown with a safety program. Sidney merchants plan promotions and stores stay open late April 20, with a souvenir edition published April 19 for registrants.

Ditch Prefers Ditch Over Road Grader Collision
Gustava A. Krafczik 49 of Bridgeport drove a 1965 pickup on a county road near Potter when he veered into a county road grader and rolled onto its side. Damage was $400 and the driver was uninjured. Trooper Del Shipley reported the incident, noting the pickup was eastbound and encountered the grader head on two miles north and two east of Potter.
