Sidney High School shines with top ratings at district music contest
Sidney High School landed nineteen superior ratings at the District Music Contest in Alliance, with the band receiving a Superior Plus. Spring Grain Test Plot Planted Near Gurley
A spring grain test plot with 12 oat varieties and 10 barley varieties was planted Thursday on Ed Rihn’s farm eight miles east of Gurley. Paul Ehlers of the North Platte Experiment Station and Cheyenne County Agent Ivan Liljegren led the planting. It marks the first such test in the east Gurley area in years and among the few in the Nebraska Panhandle.
