Kimball Oil Field May Gain Over Two Million Barrels
Pan American Petroleum projects water flooding beneath Kimball to recover an estimated two million extra barrels of oil. At current prices this could add about six million dollars to field value. Water wells near the city supply the flood, with unitization agreements under signing by Larry Davis and Dewey Parrott. Completion of two more Denver Julesburg Basin units, Edwards and Vowers, was announced, each expected to lift oil recovery by about 60 percent. Operators Magnolia Petroleum and Petroleum Inc in Powers Unit and Nebraska Drillers in Edwards Unit joined Pan American in these units.
