County Treasurer Herbert Stevens has 25 thousand dollars to refund from a 65 thousand dollar rural school tax declared unconstitutional. A soggy eight inch snow covered Sidney area Thursday morning, raising April moisture to 2.77 inches in the Sidney trade area. Snow began Wednesday night and continued into Thursday, with CAA station near Sidney recording .75 inch of precipitation by 6 a.m. The storm spread across Wyoming, Colorado and western Nebraska, aiding wheat crops and pastures while prepping soil for spring work.

Three Injured In Head-On Collision Near Bushnell
A two-car head-on collision at 8:45 am on a country road 12 miles north of Bushnell left three injured. Gregory Soule, 21 months, suffered a skull fracture and facial injuries. Clarence E Soule, 26, and William Olsen, 27, both of Bushnell, had cuts, bruises, and shock. Olsen suffered a lip laceration. Vehicles were a 1952 Buick coach and a 1953 Ford pickup. Buick damaged about 1500 dollars and the pickup was a total loss.
