County Commissioner N H Troelstrup of Potter purchased sixty racing horses from the J Kinney ranch near Bushnell Nebraska. The sale includes stallions mares and fillies mostly sired by Norval King and Impetuous Devil. Troelstrup plans a training track and breeding farm and will develop racing stock near Potter. Impetuous Partner will race in San Francisco before Kinney retires from racing.

Weather shift as rain melts winter snow and improves fields
A heavy rain on Tuesday melted snow and filled gutters while mist persisted daily until Thursday afternoon. The sun appeared briefly before sunset, and Friday brought clear skies with occasional clouds. Farmers hope to reach fields before May.
Obituary Notice for August Olson in Potter precinct
August J. Olson an old Potter precinct resident was found dead in his bed at the Gunderson hotel in Potter on April 6 after months of poor health. County Coroner Parks was notified and Dr. A J Ames issued the death certificate based on Dr. Johnson of Cheyenne. Cause of death cancer of the liver. He was sixty three, married. The funeral was held in Potter on Friday April 9.
