Dalton senior Guy Cruise is an award winning landscape photographer and painter. He started photography in eighth grade with instruction from former superintendent John Mandreville and soon led a school class. Cruise won top honors in the Nebraska Press Photographers Association High School Picture Stars Contest and earned a runner up in a Nebraska High School Press Association sweepstakes. He plans to study business administration at Rapid City’s National College of Business and hopes to run a grocery store, possibly turning photography into a side venture such as wedding shoots. He envisions a future combining art, photography and store management, with a life rooted in outdoor subjects and rural landscapes.
