Bates for Legion Carnival Set for April Dates
Wild Bill Hockok known as Blaine Grabill headlines a Bid ney post American Legion carnival to be staged in Tobia opera house Friday and Saturday nights April 36 and 26. 15600 More Baby Brook Trout Placed In Waters
Fifteen hundred more baby brook trout were stocked in Lodge Pole creek west of Sidney and at Lawrence Forks last Friday, per Charles Gardner. This adds to 25,000 previously released two weeks earlier. The inch long fish come from the state fish and game department hatchery at Benkelman. Gardner also said several thousand baby rainbow trout are promised for May. Rainbow trout seek deep water. brook trout thrive in shallow water. The season on trout opened Tuesday.

In Sidney city election Dr. F A Barger won from the first ward despite not being on the ballot, defeating M A Shipman 77 to 68 with nine uncounted votes for the doctor. Other nominees were elected. R H Rogers kept the mayoralty, and Wm Winders and Herman Schroeder won ward seats. Total ballots 208 from three wards.

A meeting at Burgess' music store advances Music Week observed May 4 to 10 in Sidney. A grand climax features a 260 piece band performing with an aerial concert by ananaiel and bande of 180 to 200 players. Two singers from Laramie volunteered for one evening. Indoor program committee and all committees will meet, outdoors committee named new members including Dr Light and J Bari Thayer among others.

A B Hardy leased the Sidney hotel from Miss Rodgers this week. He took charge on Tuesday April 1 with Miss Sharp at the desk. The hotel has been remodeled to first class condition. Hardy also operates the Commercial hotel and plans an overhead passageway connecting the two.

Wednesday night featured home talent vaudeville with Little Miss Jenn Osborn in a sailor dance.
