Estrays may be taken up only on your property and after twenty four hours a brief description and the date taken must be sent to a precinct justice of the peace with a two and a half cent fee. If not reclaimed within ten days, another description goes to the county clerk with a twenty five cent fee. after ten more days an advertisement runs five weeks in a county newspaper with fees for ads. Proceeds go to the county school fund and failure to comply incurs a heavy fine.
