Miss Agnes Horton of Norfolk, formerly a Sidney high school dean of women, won 2500 dollars as second prize in a Lever Brothers nationwide contest for writing why she liked the company's Nile products. She chose to keep the cash to finish a philosophy degree and continue teaching, with plans to attend the University of Nebraska in summer sessions. She organized the journalism class and supervised the high school yearbook while in Sidney.

Election Set On April 26 For Northside School Expansion

A ground breaking service was held at Dalton for the Trinity Lutheran Church a 48 thousand dollar brick Gothic style building to house 170 in the nave.
