Pioneer builder A H Poth dies at Path Texas in 1955
Arnold Henry Poth, founder of modern Poth in Wilson County, died at his Path home May 30 1955 after a long illness. Rosary was held at Otts Funeral Home in Poth with burial beside family in Hochheim. He helped establish the post office and first businesses, later farming and cattle raising, leaving a large family and community legacy.

The Shiner Chapter No 272 OES held a Tuesday night installation for the 1955-56 term with Past Patron W D Johnson of Flatonia as Installing Officer and Mrs Loraine Yater of Stanton as installing Marshal. Other visitors included Mrs W D Johnson and Mrs Mildred McKay of Flatonia. A fellowship hour with cake and iced punch followed the session.
