Mrs. Mary Brom nee Mary Svee died at her daughter’s home in Houston on Friday June 17 at 10 40 am age 89 10 10. Born in Czechoslovakia August 7 1865 she came to America at 22 and married John Brom in 1887 at Praha. Survived by four daughters four sons a brother and a sister plus 28 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. Funeral services were June 19 at Smith Funeral Home and St Joseph Church with burial in Catholic Cemetery Moulton.

One time resident John Louis Muesse died Sunday June 19 after a stroke and was buried Wednesday June 22 at Ellinger Cemetery from Eagle Lake funeral home. He was born October 11, 1891 in Austin County and lived 63 years. He married Minnie Koenning May 29, 1913. she died in 1940. Survivors include three daughters, two sons, a sister and two brothers. Interment in Ellinger Cemetery followed services officiated by Rev. Raymond Durst.
