Local Youth to Lead UNICEF Drive on Halloween Night
The Senior MYF of the local Methodist Church will tour homes Sunday evening from 6:30 to 8 as part of the annual UNICEF drive. Since 1960 UNICEF fund totals have grown from 3600 to over 1.5 million in 1959 and 1963 countrywide efforts have expanded with milk, vaccines and penicillin aid reaching millions.

County Board Adjourns With Record Budget and Jail Delays
Supervisors ended a 31 day year and adopted a record 1961 budget amid ongoing jail contract delays.
