Heritage Day in Michigan Week will honor the oldest businessman in Mt. Pleasant on May 22 during an open house from 2 to 4 pm at the Hospitality Center corner of South Main and Michigan. Zonta Club of Mt. Pleasant hosts and invites senior citizens of Mt. Pleasant and Isabella County to attend.

The Senior Class of 1964 at Shepherd High will hold its Class Day and Awards Day on Monday May 25 in the high school gym. The 9:00 awards assembly will present group honors in Band Athletics Debate Dramatics Cheerleading Future Teachers Library Student Council and Vocal Department and individual academic awards. Master of ceremonies Corb Brattin will guide the program beginning at 1:15 with chants and the class will also perform.

On Sunday May 24 1964 at 2 P M Winn Methodist Church holds dedication services with Leon Youngs as board chair presenting the church and Rev Emerald Price leading the act assisted by Rev Charles McNary. A newly purchased Hammond organ funded by church gifts will be dedicated followed by a social hour in Friendship Hall.
