Shepherd Sugar Bush Corp sees about 460 gallons of high grade syrup ready and sap on hand with several sap runs ahead. The Syrup Festival on April 18 will feature a Festival Queen contestant pool, Old Car Club restorations, and pancake sausage servings with Good Ol Shep maple syrup. Participants may register before April 1 with local organizers.

Shepherd Girl Scout Leaders Celebrate 52nd Birthday Banquet
In Shepherd a family style banquet on March 12 at Shepherd High School Cafeteria marked the 52nd birthday of Girl Scouts of the USA. About 240 people attended to view the girls’ work as Brownies Junior Scouts and Cadets performed songs danced and acted out skits under the guidance of long serving and new volunteer leaders. Mr Bill Butler served as Master of Ceremonies introducing leaders committee women and officers. The event featured songs a square dance and skits on Girl Scouts and Guides of other nations and Cadets life.
