Mrs. Paul Warmbrunn of Shepherd will again chair townships for the Isa Bella County Cancer Crusade with C. Lyle Blackman and Mrs. Robert Honeywell as Mt. Pleasant leaders. The Crusade tea opens the drive at 1 30 P M Friday April 3 at St John Episcopal parish house Mt. Pleasant. The campaign stresses early doctor visits annual health checkups and fundraising for research education and service to reduce cancer deaths.

The Maple Syrup Festival committee invites unmarried girls aged 14 to 25 from the Shepherd area to compete for queen and court on April 18. Isabella County Democrats Hear Delegate Selection Details
Isabella County Democrats met in Mt. Pleasant to hear Chairman Philip R. Epple outline new rules for county convention delegate selection. Filing petitions by May 26 is required for pre precinct delegates with fifteen signatures. A voter re registration rule now requires voting or registering every two years. July 6 and October 5 are last days to register for the August primary and November election. The Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner will be in Detroit on March 21 with sessions on President Johnson’s Poverty Program.
