Cole Circus To Visit Shepherd For One Day

The Cole Circus in its fiftieth year performs in Shepherd at City Park on Thursday July 28. Twenty trucks bring over 100 animals forty people and vast equipment with tents. early set up begins at 7:00 am and open cage inspections run 9:00 to 11:30 am. Tickets are on sale through local Chamber of Commerce members with a portion of proceeds supporting community projects.

VFW And Auxiliary Plan Visit To Eaton Rapids Home

The VFW and Auxiliary plan a trip to the National Children’s Home at Eaton Rapids Michigan next Sunday July 17. Commander Keith Freeze can provide further details. The Auxiliary’s regular meeting will be Tuesday July 19 at the VFW Hall.

Village re marks Wright Ave parking with angled spaces

Village engineers begin repainting Wright Avenue parking with a 30 degree angle after studying options. The plan reduces spaces by 19 per block but aims to improve safety and door clearance while widening the center lane by six feet and considering a double yellow line to curb U turn violations.

Traffic deaths fall as licenses suspended rise in Michigan

Mighty Mac Faces Elephant Test On Bridge Crossing

Post Office Lobby to Close Early at Shepherd

A Shepherd Post Office lobby will close at 5:00 PM starting July 15 after an inspector investigated lobby lock box tampering. Postmaster Kenneth Walker regretted the service cut but said Department concerns over local complaints forced the curtailment.
