Roger Tory Peterson, famed Audubon author and illustrator, will present his Audubon Wildlife Film Wild Europe at 7 30 PM in Central Michigan University Auditorium Mt Pleasant on Saturday January 11. He is a world renowned naturalist and author of field guides with works translated into seven languages.

Consumers Power Plans Major 1964 Expansion

Consumers Power Company announced a 68 million expansion for 1964 covering electric natural gas and steam heating facilities. The program includes 27 700 new gas customers 14 000 electric customers field additions and multiple plant and transmission improvements across 61 counties in the Lower Peninsula and four outstate Michigan cities.

Letters are being sent to about a hundred area residents inviting them to a Shepherd High School cafeteria meeting Thursday evening January 16 to begin a study of the immediate and future needs of the local school system. The invitation is open to others beyond the contacted names.

Beans Fed to Hurricane Flora Victims by CROP

Michigan CROP shipments of 294 100 pound bags of beans sent July 30 from Saginaw were used in an emergency program for Hurricane Flora victims in Haiti. John Barwick and Rus sell Hartzler note six hundred fifty bags still needed for institutions and patients.
