Miss Annie Gutierrez Diamond Star 1955 spoke on her Costa Rican conference experiences and an IFYE discussion highlighted cross cultural understanding. Mr and Mrs Frank Migdat returned home after a ten day trip visiting family in Oklahoma and Nevada.

Six Bands for Fair Goers at Kern County Fair
Kern County Fair opens September 22 1958 with six concert bands. Bakersfield high schools East North and South High Rebel Bands join the 50th Air Force Band from Edwards AFB Delano High School and Shafter High School bands. Performances occur hourly on stage east of the Albert Goode Auditorium. South High Rebel Band enters its second year under director Ken Fahsbender. 54 piece ensemble in colorful uniforms. The 511 Air Force band and Delano High School appear Thursday and Shafter High Saturday evening.
