Stacey Opposes 27 Percent California Wage Hike
Assemblyman Kent Stacey criticizes the California Industrial Welfare Commission plan to raise the minimum wage for women and minors to 1.65 an hour plus 35 cents, arguing it would hamper business and deter investment. He notes federal rises to 1.60 and calls for legislative control of wage setting. The piece ends with a brief note about the swimming ability of mountain lions.
