Spanish Club Wins Talent Show at Shafter High
The Shafter High School noon talent show on October 21 featured the Spanish Club winner a vocal trio of Tom Fletcher Lowell Bergman and Dewayne Neufeld. McDonalds LaVar Dean Nancy played strings and sang for FFA. Joy Rutland with CSF gave a humorous reading. Proceeds support a new yearbook.

Auditors are needed in Bakersfield for permanent civil service with the state board of equalization. Apply at the California State Employment Service office, 1300 Seventeenth Street, Bakersfield, where interviews and offers will follow. Positions include Grade I at 255 dollars and Grade II at 310 dollars. All applicants must be United States citizens. Residence in California is not required.
