Walt's Service Station, a mile north of Shafter city limits at Santa Fe and Klassen Dr, provides Hancock gasoline and ethyl fuels, major motor oils, flat fixes, tire service, lubrication, and a broad accessory selection. Owner Walt Houston, resident of Shafter, has operated the station 18 months after previously running Golden Eagle at Midway Market near the North Shafter Farm Labor Camp. Hours are 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.
