Rev and Mrs Wiginton lead a revival campaign at the Church of the Nazarene begun Wednesday and running each evening through Nov 7. He is known for heart searching Bible messages and their ministry of music. Mrs Wiginton engages children with Flannel-grams while all attendees praise and enjoy the services. Public invitation extended to all.

Shafter Seventh-day Adventist Church members traveled to Fresno for the Institute for Pathfinder Leaders. Mrs. M. M. Fenderson leads the Pathfinder youths aged ten to fifteen who meet Sundays from seven to nine p m. Instructors include Mrs. H B Duerksen and Mrs. Hazel Brockett teaching crafts such as glorified glass, needlecraft, leather craft, wood craft, and plaster craft with Marvin Dirksen as assistant leader.
A forty five minute program by Seventh day Adventist Juniors entertained elderly patients at the County Hospital last Saturday afternoon. The show featured gospel songs, several musical numbers, a vocal quartet, and a story, directed by Mrs Theo Voth with many Juniors and leaders in attendance.
Jacob Quiring leads the Gospel Chapel now housed one mile west of Shafter Avenue on Orange Street. Sunday School starts 9 45 a m with worship at 11 00 a m and evening service at 6 30 p m Thursday night Young People meet at 7 30 p m.
