Bare Hand Tussle Over Wounded Deer Ends in Slaughter
In Red Bluff country last week, Joe Neuman and Dave Unruh hunted on Mill Creek near Rim camp. After Neuman shot and failed to finish a wounded four pointer, he attempted to wrestle the deer with his bare hands. The buck fled before Unruh arrived and finally Unruh killed it with a dull blade. The animal weighed about 120 pounds.

Ralph Lachenmaier Otto Zimmerman and Bill McClain return from a Shafter deer hunting trip near Winnemucca Nevada. Caught in a sudden blizzard they wore light clothes and suffered but recovered. McClain brought in more fish than his companions during a perch and catfish outing at Lodi. They returned with two muletail ducks over 200 pounds each.
