Rollins Appeals Await Ruling In Murder Case

The Wasco High School student Rollins, now 20, appeals a murder conviction with a February or March 1994 ruling anticipated by the Sth District Court of Appeals in Fresno. Local Kern County Firefighters Aid in Southland Fires

Dozens of firefighters from Wasco and Shafter joined more than 6,500 responders battling Santa Ana wind driven wildfires stretching from Ventura County to the Mexican border. Five engine strike teams and heavy equipment assisted Laguna and Malibu efforts, with Wasco crews logging five days of fatigue and near nonstop duty.
