Shafter City Council race undecided amid absentee ballots
At press time Tuesday morning the Shafter City Council race remained undecided with 129 uncounted absentee ballots, as 2,535 votes were cast on Nov 6. Mayor Cathy Prout led with 34 percent, Linda Gragg 23 percent, Johnny Thomas 22.7 percent, Gary Knox 19.8 percent, hinting at a recount.
