Six Month Goals Outlined by Richland-Lerdo Superintendent
Richland-Lerdo Superintendent Dr Dan Knapp outlined six month goals focusing on maintaining current policies and procedures with board approval planned for any changes. He scheduled a district wide report before March 4 1991 covering personnel curriculum special projects and community relations. Transportation changes begin Nov 13 to ease traffic with a new bus driving zone at Wall and Atlantic and adjustments for kindergarten and third grade drop offs. Lerdo enrollment doubled to 500 next year prompting plans to finance portable classrooms. The board approved recycling cafeteria waste to be used as hog feed. students will sort recyclables to fund the body fund. Relocatable office space behind the district office was approved to expand the business office.

Richland LERDO School District appoints two new principals. Sarah Coates becomes Richland Primary Principal with a Nov. 1 start, returning home after 28 years away. Jesse Rodriguez joins as Richland Junior High Vice Principal, started Oct. 29, bringing experience from Lucia Mar and Bakersfield districts.
