Striped bass stocked in Pyramid Lake
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says six month old stripers released at Pyramid Lake should reach keeper size in a year or two. For now the juveniles feed on plankton and insects, with larger fish to be supplied from Central Valleys Hatchery near Sacramento on Thursday Oct 16. Previously Pyramid Lake stripers were recruited via the California Aqueduct from Delta area fish. Summer fishing has been strong but eased this year due to limited tributary habitat.
