State Controller Houston I Flourney announced October cigarette tax apportionments. Kern County received 25837.52 dollars and Shafter City 1109.98 dollars. The 58 counties shared 841329 dollars and cities 3541412 dollars, about 30 percent of September 1970 revenue.

Other receipts listed civil and small claims 53 law library 9 and state 612 for officer training vehicle code and 140 penal code training.
