The Ladies Aid of Union Congregational Church met at the president Mrs. Harry Vannatta's home. A rummage sale is set for November 22 with Miss Claude Campo as chairman naming workers for morning and afternoon shifts. The nominating committee includes Mrs. William Lowe Mrs. Fred Ruhlman and Mrs. Les Hobson. The next meeting is the second Thursday in December.

B P W Hears Talk On Local Welfare Group Activities
Mrs. Ned Smith, chair of the local welfare committee, spoke to the Business and Professional Women Thursday at the Legion Halls. She cited case histories of those in need not eligible for Red Cross or County Aid, praising Salvation Army but noting increasing demand. The group supported continuing the local organization. A food sale, rummage, and yammmage sale raised funds for the 40 Blue Bird girls. The next meeting will be a dinner at Cawelo with new member installation.
