Mr and Mrs E B Stringham completed a 9889 mile journey through twenty six states and Quebec and Montreal Canada leaving Shafter August 11 and returning October 20. They photographed sights and wrote a travelogue detailing daily routes places visited incidents and people met on the trip. The tour included Grand Canyon North Rim Colorado Springs Denver Garden of the Gods and Blue Ridge Parkway among others with highlights in Deer Isle Annapolis Williamsburg and carlsbad Caverns. They met many people and enjoyed diverse scenery before concluding in Tennessee Arkansas and Texas.

They apply to the State Board of Equalization for an original on sale beer license and invite protests by filing in Sacramento. The premises are currently licensed for beverage sales.
