Farrells Return From Conference
Mr and Mrs R G Farrell of Shafter returned from a four day National Investment Sales Conference held at the Hotel Tropicana Las Vegas Nevada October 27 through October 30 hosted by Channing Company Inc wunder writer and national distributor of the Channing Funds. Surprises parents Maple Dale Siemens surprised his parents Ernest Siemens Sunday when he arrived to attend church with them. The young man works in the psychiatric ward of the Los Angeles County hospital and finds the unexpected visit meaningful. Mrs Doris Allen left for her home in Portland Ore after a three week visit in Shafter at the home of Mrs Nora Ockey and Mrs Tennie Bingham, sister of the late Roy Ockey. For 1968 Turner said San Joaquin Valley growers are invited to attend a program to be completed by 2 30 with lunches provided by California Planting Cotton Seed Distributors. Inspections occur periodically by a qualified service agency to ensure operations are efficient and economical. The action is doubly important for replacing outmoded equipment, homeowners are urged to take precautions: ensure ventilation for unvented heaters, do not sleep with heaters burning, keep away from draperies and busy traffic, use approved metal connectors for space heating equipment. Pope notes outdated unvented heaters belong in an antique shop not a home.
