Job's Daughters Exemplify Work For Eastern Star
Job's Daughters Bethel No. 138 exemplified their work with Wasco Chapter No. 489 of the Eastern Star in the Wasco Masonic Temple. A pot-luck supper preceded the meeting, with Della Kleist Mable Main Clara Parker Violet Rommel and Clarence Kleist on the committee. Dorothy Lee presided in the east and Phyllis Peters led the Bethel. Memorial services honored star members who died in the past year including Amy M. Little Stella Tener Arch Beckes and Alva Jackman. Flower arrangements were by Jean Waugh and Dorothy Clemens.

First Lieutenant N. M. Singleton and his wife with their baby Judy spent a delightful week with Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Loewen at 216 Marengo Shafter after a 45 day furlough from three years in Japan. They planned to stay with the Loewens during the furlough and hope for a next tour near Shafter.
