Justice Court Guilty Plea On Intoxication And Drugs
Justice Court found a defendant guilty of intoxication and illegal possession of dangerous drugs and sentenced him to 90 days in the County Jail. Jose Lerma pled guilty to petty theft for taking a radio from a Shafter store, a second offense within six months, with probation revoked and 30 days plus 90 days in jail ordered. Harlin Winford Eakle was found guilty by a jury of speeding, exceeding 65 mph with an alleged speed of 80 mph, fined 43 dollars.

Funeral Held for Floyd Davison in Shafter
Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Shafter for Floyd Dave Davison 81 of 116 N Shafter Ave born May 16 1888 in Buffalo Missouri. He died May 14 in a Shafter convalescent hospital. Burial followed at Shafter Memorial Park. Survivors include Grace his wife of 59 years two sons Roscoe Davison Ed Davison a daughter Ramona Grace Steele two brothers Albert Ralph eight grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
