Shafter Sets June 2 1947 Trash Container Rules
The Council of Shafter announces a June 2 1947 deadline for proper metal rubbish and garbage containers and incinerators. Rubbish receptacles must be metal, at most 32 gallon capacity with two handles and a tight fitting cover. Garbage or swill containers must be metal, at most 16 gallon capacity with two handles and a tight fitting cover. Incinerators must be city approved by the Fire Chief. Public notice through June 1.
