Land swap eyed to add Moran Bay park expansion
Assemblyman Nimmo introduces a bill allowing the state to exchange excess Mendocino State Hospital land for Otto property near Morro Bay estuary to expand Morro Bay State Park. The plan, backed by the Department of Parks and Recreation and Emily Polk, follows AB 2499’s Senate progress and ties to local preservation efforts. A separate note promotes the Native Song public deep pit barbecue on May 12 at Old River with tickets.
