Potato Growers Convention Opens in Bakersfield
The Kern County Potato Growers Association holds its 12th annual convention in Bakersfield starting Sunday with 2000 delegates. Governors Muskis Smylie and Knight address attendees on Tuesday, with a daylong program on transportation research and industry topics at the Bakersfield Inn and Har ves Inn. The meeting closes with a ball at Bakersfield Country Club.
