New 220000-volt Transmission Line In Kern County Inaugurated
Pacific Gas and Electric Co inaugurates a 202 mile 220000 volt transmission line from Tesla substation near Tracy to Midway near Buttonwillow. The project cost about 6 million dollars excluding substations and involves 952 towers, 110 feet high, with a single circuit now and space for a second.
