Shafter Stable Owners Buy More Horses
Shafter Stable owners expanded their stable by purchasing several promising race horses at Bay Meadows. Robert Neuman bought Frilla Hanover, a young mare, while Wm Lachenmaier and S A Camp acquired Angus Worthy, a four year old stallion. Frilla Hanover won a $2000 stake at Bay Meadows last week. Huntley, another Neuman-Crawford horse, placed third, and Sam Slicker, also bought by Neuman, finished second in his first race. Neuman and Lachenmaier plan to attend Roosevelt Field to watch their horses race.
