Government potato market outlook and shipping trends
Potatoes see steady demand and slightly higher prices as shipments rise and car shortages emerge in some states. Weather remains mild, with January to March forecasted heavy shipments and a seed potato move to late planting areas. Export orders to Austria were raised, storage space is full, and parity price projections suggest April to June support prices around 2.72 to 2.90 dollars per bushel.
