Chamber of Commerce members saw the film This is T B about causes detection and cure of tuberculosis. Mrs Jane Causey of Kern County Tuberculosis and Health Assn spoke noting 1 092 X rays in Shafter last year with one TB case and four lung cancer cases found. The drive aims to expand the X ray unit to serve small communities and 8 TB cases were identified countywide. A 70 mm Westinghouse X ray unit takes 400 photos per roll. Mrs. Sarah Ann Holliman, 87, died at her home on Beach Avenue in Shafter after living there 12 years. Services were held at Flickinger-Janzen Mortuary with Brother Buddie Harriss officiating.
